This is one of the three Phals that I bought from Kroger this week. This one is my favorite of the three. She has some of the most beautiful spots that I've ever seen. I love how each bloom is completely different from the others. :)
Today, I went grocery shopping at Kroger and discovered that they were having an orchid sale. The clerk told me that the prices were printed wrong in this weeks flyer and their large 8" pots were $9.99 instead of $19.99. So, I bought three :)
This one is quite unusual. She has a strange look to her blooms. The petals are very frayed looking (quite beautiful).
Genus: Phalaenopsis Spikes: 2 (one is just starting to form) Blooms: 2 Buds: 16 Pot: Clay Media: Sphagnum
I should just stay away from Lowes. I went this afternoon to look for some outdoor plants ( yeah right) and came away with three orchids. Go figure! All three were from the clearance rack, but fortunately they are in a good condition.
The three are: Onc. Maureen x Onc. Haematochilum (Mule Ear Oncidium) Miniture Oncidium ( I'm not really sure what she is exactly) Encyclia Profusa
I was in love the moment I saw this beauty, and I had no choice but to take her home. :) She's just STUNNING . I just can't wait to see how she progresses.
Genus: Phalaenopsis Spikes: 1 Blooms: 3 Buds: 5 Container: Glass square w/o any drainage (I will re-pot once she's out of bloom) Media: Sphagnum :(
I went to Lowes today for something totally different than what I walked out with. . . .
The store manager made me an offer that I could not refuse. :) Any plant on the "Clearance" rack for $1. So, I picked up about 10 orchids, but when I got to the register - he gave them all to me for $1. It was very cool. Now let the healing begin. They are 5 misc Phals and 5 Dendrobiums
