New Dendrobium

I really should have waited before getting this one, but then again this is me and I didn't.  So, my newest jewel to join my growing collection is a "New White N5 Dendrobium".  Yes, that is what the tag actually says.  Anyhow, she seems to be in good health.

Yeah!!!  I didn't think they would ever open.   My first Cattleya  :)

Sad Day.

Not that it wasn't expected, but I lost two of my rescued Phals today   (#1 & 3).  

Blue Mystique

This was an impulse buy of mine. I should have done my homework first.  This is a white Dtps that has been injected with a blue dye of some sort.  It should and probably will be white next season.  I will admit that this is a beautiful plant, but I wish it would stay this color.   Oh well, maybe I'll learn my lesson. . . someday  ;)

I saw this little guy in a corner at Lowes.  It had a few buds on it (which took me by surprise) and seemed to be in a decent condition, so of course I had to have it.  Sorry for the blurry pic, but I could not get my camera to focus.  Sucks  :(

Haraella retrocalla (odorata)

This little guy has been on my wish list for months. It's probably the reason for my obsession in the first place. 
This little guy is so tiny, but yet he has a very strong lemon scent.

Encyclia Cochleata

Today was the Dallas Orchid Show.  It was my first time experiencing a show, and it was a lot of fun.  I did purchase a couple of plants.


This one is one that I've been looking at purchasing for a while now.   I can't wait to see some blooms.  :)

Degarmoara Winter Wonderland 'White Fairy

I ordered this guy from a grower off of Ebay.  I thought this was a pretty cool looking plant.   Hopefully I'll get some nice blooms from him.
