Crazy Couple of Weeks

It seems like I have new growth sprouting from everywhere. I've been trying to get some pictures together, but everything has been just crazy.

We are currently working on a remodel at home and I'm sorry to say that I feel like I'm neglecting my plants.  I'm pretty sure that they don't miss me since everywhere you look something new is growing.  :)

Hopefully soon I'll be able to get some new pictures together.

NOID Dendrobium

I couldn't resist this pretty girl.  I went into a nursery this afternoon to see about getting some fir bark and came out with a NOID.  I was laughing to myself, I have no self control  :)

Summer New Growths

This month has been full of growth. . . Last month everyone was dying, and this month they are growing  :)

This is one of my rescued Dendrobiums. I've been watching this sheath emerge over the past couple of days. I can't wait to see what color this one is.

This is my white Dendrobium.  I believe by tomorrow you might be able to see the spike peek through :)
This is one of my rescued mini phals.  This one makes me extremely happy.  Just a couple of months ago this little guy was very wilted and over-watered.

I can't wait for some blooms.

More Rescues

So, I went back to Lowes this evening to see about getting the other "stressed" plants.  :)  Anyhow, I came home with four more.  I did remove these guys from their ceramic pots and placed them in some plastic ones for draining purposes.  I plan on re-potting them in bark later this week.  I wanted to give them some time to acclimate to my indoor climate.

There are two plants to each pot. The mini in the middle has a keiki on the remaining spike.

My plan for my rescues is to get them back to "ideal" health and find new homes for the duplicates. :)

These are the cute ceramic pots that my
rescues came in.  I really like them and I will probably put something non-orchid in them.

They I know they are worth more than what I paid for the plants.

A New Group of Rescues

I went by Lowes yesterday for some supplies and noticed that they had SEVERAL sunburned phals and they didn't seem concerned at all.  I asked about their price and they told me to come back tomorrow and talk with a manger. Anyhow, I went back this morning and bought 4 of the worst of the lot for $0.75 each. They wanted way too much for the rest of them.  I may go back tonight and talk with the night manager (who I know pretty well) and see about the rest.     So here's what I brought home. . .

I brought home two P. (Golden Peoker x Brother White Windian)

Both of these two are very sunburned, but they have nice roots and at least two green leaves.

This one is P.( Salu Spot x Golden Peoker)

This poor baby is the worst of the group.

I also brought homw one  P. Christina.
This  one has a couple good leaves and nice looking roots, but no blooms.  I'll post a pic soon.
